So… what is in a frame?
Once in a framing shop, how can you choose when there are literally thousands of samples to look at?
Well, you must trust your framer! There are really only 5 or maybe 7 frames that can make your art pop!
You start with a framer who is passionate about the art … yes, the art, of framing.
This wedding photo is a good example of how a mat can actually change the whole atmosphere of the image. The couple, while together, are really separated by the swings which gives the feeling of an emotional distance between the two. We need to put a mat on the photo to make sure your eyes stay on them and don’t wander.
To achieve that effect we tried a few different looks…..
While each effort actually suits the work – some have a more feminine look to them while others lean more to a masculine one. Finally, the frame creates the ultimate boundary, defining where the viewers’ eye needs to go and stay on the artwork.
